Matthew Humphries is a talented young playmaker in the Rabbitohs pathways who can feature at halfback or five eighth. A Terrigal Wamberal Sharks junior, he guided South Sydney’s SG Ball Cup side to a preliminary final and won consecutive Club Player of the Year awards in Harold Matthews Cup in 2023 and SG Ball Cup in 2024. He finished as the SG Ball Cup team’s leading point scorer in 2025 before stepping up to Jersey Flegg Cup and NSW Cup, showing a composed temperament and strong kicking game.
