Ezra Mam was raised in Ipswich, largely by his grandparents, who instilled in him a deep pride in his Torres Strait Islander and mainland Aboriginal heritage.
His rugby league talent was unmistakable from an early age, and the Broncos identified him at just 13 while he was playing for his junior club, the Goodna Eagles.
A standout product of the Broncos Academy and pathways system, Mam rose rapidly through the grades before making his NRL debut as a 19-year-old in 2022.
He exploded onto the scene the following year, lighting up the competition in his first full NRL season — highlighted by a remarkable Grand Final performance where he scored three tries against the Penrith Panthers.
Mam continued his rise in 2025, playing a crucial role in Brisbane’s strong second half of the season, where he crossed for five tries and produced 11 try assists.
Now 22, he has committed his long-term future to the Club, signing a deal that will keep him in Broncos colours at least until the end of the 2029 season.
