Biography:

Hailing from Auckland, Deine Mariner first showcased his speed and agility playing for his junior Club, the Marist Saints, which caught the eye of Brisbane Broncos scouts at a young age.

Determined to chase an NRL career, he relocated to the Gold Coast and finished his schooling at Palm Beach Currumbin while he progressed through the Broncos junior pathways.

After shining at Queensland Cup level, Mariner made his NRL debut for Brisbane in 2022 as a 19-year-old and has since established himself as a reliable and explosive presence in the Broncos’ outside backs.

A breakout 2024 saw him finish as the Club’s top try-scorer, and he backed it up with another strong campaign in 2025 — crossing 12 times in just 19 appearances, including the match-winner in the preliminary final against the Penrith Panthers.

His standout form earned him selection for Toa Samoa in the 2025 Pacific Championships, where he made valuable contributions to the team’s progression to the final.
