Lebanon duo Adam Doueihi and Alex Twal have become the first Cedars players chosen by fans in the RLWC2026 Team of the Week.

Twal and Doueihi, who play for West Tigers, are among players from six nations in the World Cup Team of the Week, which received more than 45,000 votes afer last weekend's Round 4 NRL matches and Round 6 Super League fixtures.

Each week players from the NRL and Super League will be nominated for fans to vote on their Team of the Week, drawn from players in contention for Rugby League World Cup 2026.

The RLWC2026 Team of the Week will be announced each Wednesday.

Twal topped voting across all positions in the poll, receiving 45% of votes for lock to beat out Broncos and Kangaroos star Pat Carrigan (38%), while Doueihi polled 34% of votes for the halves.

Kangaroos and Panthers halback Nathan Cleary, who is leading Dally M voting, received 35% of votes.

The other members of the spine are Kangaroos fullback Reece Walsh (Broncos), with 36% of votes, and hooker Harry Grant (41%) - the Storm captain and 2025 IRL Golden Boot winner.

Walsh and Grant edged Fiji and Wests Tigers fullback Jahream Bula (31%) and hooker Api Koroisau (37%).

England secondrower Kai Pearce-Paul joins Doueihi and Twal as the third Wests Tigers player in the World Cup Team of the Week - the second consecutive week he has featured.

England winger Dom Young (30%) has also been chosen after his hat-trick of tries for the Knights, with unheralded Panther Thomas Jenkins, who is eligible for Australia, claiming the other wing spot with 26% of votes.

Jenkins equals try-scoring record with 10 in four

Young's Newcastle team-mate Jacob Saifiti, who is eligible for Fiji, topped voting among props (24%), ahead of Kiwis and Roosters frontrower Naufahu Whyte (19%).

Teenage Kiwis and Panthers star Casey McLean features in the World Cup Team of the Week for the third time, joining Kangaroos and Tonga international Kotoni Staggs in the centres.

Staggs, the second Bronco along with Walsh and one of four members of last year's Ashes winning Kangaroos team, which also included Cleary and Grant, polled 38% of votes.

Another Tonga-eligible player, Titans rookie Arama Hau, makes his debut in the RLWC2026 Team of the Week after receiving 28% of votes for secondrowers.

Hau is also eligible for New Zealand, who play in the opening World Cup blockbuster against Australia at Allianz Stadium on October 15.
