The Cowboys are on the board for 2026 but the Dragons and Titans remain winless after a slashing Sunday arvo that also featured another win for Jason Ryles' Eels who are now 2-1.
After disposing of premiers Brisbane in Round 2, the Eels backed that up with a 10-point win over the Dragons, who conceded a penalty try and had Ryan Couchman banished to the sin bin for a hip drop tackle.
Fullback Isaiah Iongi shone for the Eels but the victory was soured by a season-ending ACL injury to J'maine Hopgood.
With fullback Scott Drinkwater at his attacking best with nine tackle breaks and Murray Taulagi bagging a double, the Cowboys outclassed the Titans 30-16 in Townsville to put a tough opening fortnight behind them.
Forward leader Jason Taumalolo (13 runs for 152m) was enormous for the Cowboys who head into a Round 4 clash with the Storm with renewed confidence.
